⚡ 100 energy a day, by default. In a server on energy mode, every member gets a daily allowance in that server (100 unless the server sets its own, 10–2000), resetting at midnight UTC. Each answer costs energy based on what it actually cost to generate — longer questions and longer answers cost more, so there's no fixed "uses per day" number. The footer under every answer shows how much you have left. A server can instead run unlimited mode: no per-member allowance, every answer simply draws from the server's prepaid credit. Whoever manages the server picks with /ai-config.

💰 Out of energy? In the Torvex home community, extra answers cost 40 bucks (or 10 bucks in quick mode), charged up front, refunded automatically if the AI fails to answer, and capped at 10 paid answers a day. Bucks are earned by chatting — the AI never costs real money to members. In every other server there is nothing to buy: energy comes back at midnight UTC.

⏳ Pacing and limits. There's a 5-second cooldown between asks. Paid servers run on prepaid credit — a $20 pack is $20 of AI usage with no expiry, and your credit only shrinks when the AI is actually used. When it runs out, the AI pauses in that server until you top up — never a surprise bill. /ai-status shows a server's remaining credit.

🔎 What the AI can see. It reads at most the last 4 messages of the one channel it was asked in — never another channel, never your server's history, no database and no tools. The answer is posted back into that same channel, so nothing it read can reach anyone who could not already read it. It keeps no memory of anyone between questions, and /ai-privacy opts you out of ever appearing in its context. /ai-usage shows your own usage.
