The AI, and how energy works
Talk to the bot with /ask, by @-mentioning it, or by
replying to one of its answers. Usage is metered in energy โ
these numbers come straight from the running bot's configuration, so this page
always matches what you're actually charged.
โก 100 free energy, every day. Every member gets 100 energy per day, resetting at midnight UTC. Each answer costs energy based on what it actually cost to generate โ longer questions and longer answers cost more, so there's no fixed "uses per day" number. The footer under every answer shows how much you have left.
๐ฐ Out of energy? Peepo bucks. Once your daily energy is gone, extra answers cost 40 bucks (or 10 bucks in quick mode), charged up front and refunded automatically if the AI fails to answer. Bucks are earned by chatting โ the AI never costs real money to members.
โณ Pacing and limits.
There's a 15-second cooldown between asks. Paid
servers run on prepaid credit โ a
$20 pack adds
$17 of AI usage with no
expiry, and your credit only shrinks when the AI is actually used. When it
runs out, the AI pauses in that server until you top up โ never a surprise
bill. /ai-status shows a server's remaining credit.
๐ What the AI can see.
It reads at most the last 12 messages of the channel
it's asked in, and only if that channel is visible to everyone โ private
and staff channels feed it nothing. It keeps no memory of anyone between
questions, and /ai-privacy opts you out of ever appearing in
its context. /ai-usage shows your own usage.
